New Business & Marketing Executive
This is a fantastic new opportunity which has been created to support the new business team. We’re looking for a person who is passionate about the ad industry and curious to learn how the new business team operate within an agency. In this role, you’ll will be working directly into the New Business Director and the Marketing Director, whilst also working closely with the New Business & Marketing Manager.

About the Role
New Business is the lifeblood of an agency. Creating a pipeline of prospects and nurturing leads is a constant, evolving part of the role. The best new business and marketing people are relentless, curious, and highly skilled at building relationships both internally and externally.
We are looking for a candidate, ideally with a year’s experience in a related industry, who is passionate about advertising and will educate themselves on a number of important factors such as awareness of trends in advertising/marketing, awareness of big players and competition, familiar with client and agency figureheads and their agendas as well as keeping track of big account moves. A combination of new business and marketing responsibilities, this role has been created to support the new business team, you will be working directly into the New Business Director and the Marketing Director, whilst working closely with the New Business & Marketing Manager to meet deadlines and keep the plates spinning.
You will ideally have knowledge of the different roles and functions within an agency and how they work together.
Support on the reporting of new business activity
From pipeline management, to awards, to leading on pitch trackers. This individual will be in the detail to ensure all internal reporting is accurate.
Support the new business strategy
From ensuring we have all data at our fingertips to utilise for potential opportunities (New Business Knowledge hub), to supporting on engaging new prospects. This individual will support to help deliver our strategy to win.
Support on the CCS Portal
This role will be the embodiment of the central hub of new business portal information and data (public and private); supporting growth derived from portal monitoring and management (sometimes on an hourly basis). As well as keenly reviewing the public newsletters that report on new opportunities / think tanks / engagements / quarterly catchups. Rapid communication during live procurements will be key. As well as becoming competent in uploading bid documents for submission. They will ensure profiles are updated and passwords are changed when necessary. This individual will support the Manager.
Support live opportunities
From creds & RFI creation through to supporting on pitch films, through to chemistry theatre, to managing organisation and administration of pitch activity including but not limited to: pitch material preparation / room requirements/ travel and AV equipment / client welcome/ hosting / pitch theatre / proofing documents. This individual will be the extra pair of hands in a small team.
Supporting the marketing activity calendar
Supporting on ensuring the marketing calendar is up-to-date, and support in co-ordinating with Group. This individual will help us move fast and capitalise on thought piece opportunities, ensuring our name is in the right spaces.
Support the delivery of the marketing plan
Working closely with our external PR support to ensure all potential opps are fielded and actioned. Support on Marketing events from logistics to content, including admin tasks, such as filing press releases and ultimately delivering on key marketing initiatives.
Support on the social channels
Support on telling the M&C Saatchi story in our existing channels and through press and national media partnerships. As well as supporting the manager on assets for our social channels so news goes out in a timely fashion.
Supporting with the organisation and delivery of key agency events and initiatives Including fostering key partnerships with organisations and individuals e.g. International Women’s Day Panel. As well as agency showcases, for example.

Clear communicator: who understands time sensitivities.
Emotional IQ: keep directors up to date on progress and know when to flag issues.
Collaboration: Liaise closely with both line managers to share opportunities.
Calm under pressure: Stay calm and collected under deadline pressure.
Communication: Great written and spoken communication skills
Experience in a media environment, ideally agency background preferable: 1 year (minimum)
