As a Copywriter, you are responsible for crafting innovative ideas and impactful copy. You will need to use words to bring bold creative ideas to life. You are responsible for conceptual development from start to finish and must be able to create crafted storytelling across multiple channels.
An M&C Copywriter must possess the following skills in order to succeed.

As a Copywriter, you are expected to bring forward proactive ideas to your Creative Directors.
You are expected to know how each, and every digital and social platform works.
You are expected to think and write against any brief for clients in any channel and master the art of writing in various tones of voices.
Ensure your work is flawless.
You are expected to copy check your own work and not solely rely on QA.
You are expected to package, articulate and sell your ideas in a succinct and compelling manner.
As a Copywriter, you are expected to present internally and externally.
You are expected to have meaningful conversations with clients around the strategic direction of their brand and the brand's tone of voice and present creative off the back of strategy and link the two seamlessly.

3 - 5 years’ experience as a Copywriter.
An in-depth understanding of the key departments, processes and structures within an Advertising Agency.
Good knowledge of media landscape (traditional - TTL, ATL & BTL & digital)
Good knowledge of software programmes required to do the job – Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and KeyNote. Knowledge about programmes like Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator is not required but will be appreciated.
Experience with writing confidently across all media touch points.
Experience in working with an internal team and senior clients, including multiple stakeholders.
Copywriting tertiary qualification

Be able to copy check your own work and not solely rely on QA.
Be able to implement feedback from your CD or ECD and not view it as criticism but as a way to make your work better.
