Clear are looking for a commercially focused Associate Director, a global strategy consultancy which forms part of the M&C Saatchi Group. This role will report into one of our Strategy Directors. This is a full-time role based in London on a hybrid working basis.
What you'll do:
The primary objective of this role is to lead high-visibility client engagements, managing upwards to optimize senior support. You’ll set the overall direction of projects and take responsibility for inspiring thinking and delivery. As well as balancing several projects at any one time, you will get heavily involved in generating margin from new and existing accounts. You will also be expected to display aptitude for business and people management by pushing the quality of our thinking, deliverables and talent.
Specifically, this role will focus on the following key activities:
Strategic Clarity: developing commercially sound and substantiated implications which stand up to scrutiny by demonstrating an acute understanding of the client’s capabilities and growth opportunities
Creative Thinking: pushing for out-of-the-box, creative solutions to the way we approach client challenges and providing thoughtful ideas to elevate creative concepts
Client Management: owning and managing projects, proactively anticipating client needs, enhancing the client experience, and exploring new opportunities to drive account growth
Storytelling: consolidating insights, including from sources beyond primary research, to craft impactful, clear and inspiring narratives to engage senior stakeholders in new business and project-based activities
Offer development: leading on developing tools and frameworks that can be used to increase internal efficiency or codify an approach to strategic challenges posed by our clients
Leadership and Coaching: coaching junior staff and providing them with opportunities to lead research and have involvement in client presentations as appropriate

Given the impact this role will have on Clear, we’re looking for someone with a stellar mix of relevant experience and skills. Ideally, the successful candidate will have the following experiences and strengths:
- Demonstrable experience in a brand consultancy, strategic insight agency or marketing role
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Experience leading brand or business growth challenges, such as: brand positioning, innovation, go-to-market strategy.
- Comfortable with application of different forms of insight from qualitative techniques to more advanced analytics
- Skilled in leading client debriefs and workshops with confidence and energy, virtually and in-person.
- Industry experience in one or more of the following is a plus: retail, consumer packaged goods, consumer healthcare or tech
- Proven project and time management skills
- Ability to think laterally and creatively about problems
- Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure
- A natural passion for brands and consumer behaviour
- Thrives on being “all-in” as a team and being part of a collaborative environment
- Strong PowerPoint skills and Microsoft Office experience
