We're always on the lookout for talented individuals to join M&C Saatchi Group’s World Services. If you come from a Strategy or Planning background we would love to hear from you. We are particularly interested in candidates with a working knowledge of, or a Degree in International Relations, Political Science, area studies, other related humanities, or social science. World Services partners with governments, civil society, foundations, academia, and the private sector, we work on the critical issues of our time, including national security, social justice and conflict prevention. We provide a fully integrated, end to end service, combining multi-discipline communications teams with subject matter experts, across the world. Our work is domestic and global, often affecting the most vulnerable in society, with international activity orientated towards developing countries, and fragile, conflict affected states.

This role will involve the following responsibilities:
- Apply best practices in advertising, communications, and behaviour change to develop communications solutions that address client problem sets.
- Develop an intimate understanding of client problem sets which encompass some of the world’s most intractable societal, political, security, and cultural issues.
- Support the Strategy Lead to develop achievable communications objectives, supporting communications and effects frameworks, conduct market analysis, refine target audience understanding.
- Work closely with the Strategy Lead to shape the strategic output across a portfolio of work, provide guidance and pastoral support to other strategists, and strategy support to accounts teams.
- Partner with the research team and external suppliers to build a firm understanding of target audiences.
- Work with the research team to develop evaluation frameworks, shape research, analyse findings and develop insights to optimise strategies and campaigns.
What we are looking for:
- Understanding of research practices, and experience working with research tools to measure effectiveness of campaigns and strategies.
- Understanding of communications principles and best practices from both the commercial and development sectors.
- A firm interest in geopolitics and international relations.
- Problem solving. Critical thinking. The ability to clearly articulate ideas in oral, written and presentation formats.
- Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders. A confident, well-prepared presenter.
- The fundamental techniques, tools and practices of a communications strategist. (Ref. IPA Foundational & Advanced).
