Vice President, Group Account Director
We are currently looking for a Vice President, Group Account Director to join one of the group’s specialist divisions. This division partners with governments, civil society, foundations, academia, and the private sector, to work on the critical issues of our time, including the climate emergency, national security, social justice, conflict prevention, and sustainable development. We provide a fully integrated, end to end service, combining multi-discipline communications teams with subject matter experts, across the world. Our work is domestic and global, often affecting the most vulnerable in society, with international activity orientated towards conflict affected or developing countries.
This role is based out of our New York office.
Job Responsibilities:
- Managing a portfolio of projects and project management teams, acting as the senior day-to-day client liaison.
- Oversee all workstreams, supporting the Account Directors and Account Supervisors in delivering against all aspects of project requirements.
- Oversee and be responsible for project finance, including budget sheets and estimates.
- Work hand in glove with senior specialist members of the team, including Insights, Strategy, Design, Production, and Dissemination.
- Manage and mentor more junior members of the account handling and wider US team, taking an active interest in furthering their development and building the company culture of the US team. · Have a demonstrable interest and experience in the world around us – geopolitics, social impact issues, culture, etc.
About You:
- Proven commercial communications expertise in a similar working environment and role, or equivalent experience in a related field (e.g., in a not-for-profit or public sector role).
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
- Spanish or Arabic language skills desirable.
- Good and practical understanding of commercial operations with a sense of responsibility towards the organization’s reputation.
- Proficient in all components of Microsoft Office (Outlook, word-processing, power point and spreadsheets).
- Excellent communication skills to enable him/her to engage with the most senior stakeholders, understand client requirements, and become clients’ strategic communications counsel.
What we offer:

Salary is dependent on experience but ranges from: $152,000 - $190,000. All candidates must have the ability to work in the US; we are unable to sponsor any work visas for this role.
