Junior New Business Associate
We are currently looking for a Junior New Business Associate to join one of the group’s specialist divisions. This division partners with governments, civil society, foundations, academia, and the private sector, to work on the critical issues of our time, including the climate emergency, national security, social justice, conflict prevention, and sustainable development. We provide a fully integrated, end to end service, combining multi-discipline communications teams with subject matter experts, across the world. Our work is domestic and global, often affecting the most vulnerable in society, with international activity orientated towards conflict affected or developing countries. The successful candidate will be a critical part of our US Growth Business Unit, working closely with Business Development Leads to identify new business opportunities, conduct market analysis, and support with developing thought leadership and proposals.
This role is based out of our New York office or DC. If the successful candidate is based in New York, this will be a hybrid role with 2-3 days in our Manhattan office.
Job Responsibilities:
- The Junior New Business Associate will be the fulcrum of US Government federal, state, and local new business information, data, and insights.
- They will monitor relevant portals and channels for information relevant to new business opportunities, including new tenders, scope for thought leadership, and trends in the procurement environment.
- They will support in developing capture and proposal strategies.
- They will support in developing proposals and pitches.
- They will collaborate with other New Business Associates to develop shared resources and plans; while also coordinating mutually supportive initiatives such as conference attendance, case studies, and proposal templates
About You:
- 1-2 years previous professional experience, with exposure to international environments and non-commercial clients.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
- Fluent in written and spoken English – excellent proof-reading skills and strong attention to detail.
- Evidence of seeing assignments through to the end.
- Able to work both independently and collaboratively in groups.
- Ability to work in a high paced, results oriented environment.
- Desirable:
- Experience of working with NGOs, governmental and/or social impact activities is a plus.
- An understanding of the role of communications in behavior change.
- Ability to manage and maintain several internal projects which will house critical information to new business growth across World Services

What we offer:

Salary is dependent on experience but ranges from: $70,000 - $90,000. All candidates must have the ability to work in the US; we are unable to sponsor any work visas for this role.
