Media Supervisor
We are currently looking for a Media Supervisor to join one of the group’s specialist divisions. This division partners with governments, civil society, foundations, academia, and the private sector, to work on the critical issues of our time, including the climate emergency, national security, social justice, conflict prevention, and sustainable development. We provide a fully integrated, end to end service, combining multi-discipline communications teams with subject matter experts, across the world. Our work is domestic and global, often affecting the most vulnerable in society, with international activity orientated towards conflict affected or developing countries.
This role is based out of our New York office.
Job Responsibilities:
Media Strategy & Leadership:
- Strategic Oversight: Serve as the primary contact for program communications strategy and media planning development, leveraging the PESO model to create integrated, data-driven plans.
- Research & Innovation: Champion multiple sources of research and best practices, identifying opportunities to incorporate new tools, platforms, and channels that enhance campaign effectiveness.
- Global Perspective: Maintain an understanding of cultural, political, and social nuances within target regions, enabling the design and deployment of effective international campaigns
- Thought Leadership: Represent the agency as a subject-matter expert in media strategy and digital communications, sharing trends, insights, and innovative approaches with internal teams and clients.
- New Business Support: Provide relevant media expertise on new business proposals - from gathering case studies, to putting forward new recommendations based on suggested strategic approach.
Campaign Development & Execution
- Performance Optimization: Analyze campaign data and KPIs to refine targeting, messaging, and channel mix; proactively recommend adjustments to maximize performance and ROI
- Vendor & Partner Coordination: Oversee relationships with media buying agencies, publishers, data suppliers, and in-country consultants to ensure smooth and timely campaign delivery.
- Reporting & Analytics: Produce in-depth reports that translate complex data into actionable insights, highlighting successes and proposing enhancements for continuous improvement.
- Resource Allocation: Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources, ensuring that deliverables are met and that the team works efficiently. Client & Stakeholder Management
- Full-Service Mindset: Collaborate with cross-functional teams (creative, data, account management) to design multi-channel campaigns (TV, OOH, radio, social, programmatic, influencer, etc.) that align with target audience insights across digital and traditional media.
- Trusted Advisor: Provide honest feedback and insight, ensuring that best-in-class media strategy recommendations are being represented at all points of plan development and execution, even if you are not the final presenter of the work.
- Client Partnership: Act as the ‘expert-on-call’ for clients, presenting media strategies, rationales, and performance updates in a clear, compelling manner which can be easily digested and briefed on.
Team Management & Development
- Mentorship: Lead and develop junior team members (Media Planners, Senior Planners), providing feedback, guidance, and structured learning opportunities to elevate overall team performance.
- Collaboration & Communication: Foster an environment of open communication, problem-solving, and knowledge sharing across all project teams
About You:
- Minimum 5–7 years of experience in media planning and strategy (agency experience preferred).
- Undergraduate degree in Advertising, Marketing, Communications (preferred).
- Proven track record of developing integrated media plans (across paid, earned, shared and owned media) for diverse markets and audiences.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret large data sets and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
- Experience line managing junior team members.
- Experience facilitating collaboration among cross-functional teams.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills (English), including the ability to present complex ideas to senior stakeholders and clients.
- Familiarity with media research tools (e.g., Comscore, Nielsen, MRI) and an understanding of digital advertising platforms (e.g., Google Ads, Meta Ads Manager, programmatic

Salary is dependent on experience but ranges from: $100,000-$130,000. All candidates must have the ability to work in the US; we are unable to sponsor any work visas for this role.
