Group FP&A Data Analyst
M+C Saatchi are looking for a talented, high-energy Group FP&A Data Analyst to drive Group analysis and reporting. This role will report into the Group Commercial Finance Manager as part of the Group Finance team and will play an essential part of the M+C Saatchi Group strategy to drive high-margin growth.
About the Role
Group FP&A Data Analyst is a key role in the commercial arm of the Group Finance team. This role will support the Group Commercial Finance Manager and Commercial FD to develop business intelligence capability surrounding Group reporting cycles. Key stakeholders are the regional and divisional heads in the UK, Asia, Europe, EMEA, Australia, and the Americas.
What you'll do:
- Develop and enhance financial infrastructure and database (DB), identifying opportunities to optimize data utilization for enhanced analytics and decision-making
- Propose innovative solutions and leverage new technologies to improve data visualization and reporting for the Board and wider business teams, focusing on:
- Optimizing Group reporting and analytical capabilities to improve efficiency.
- Introducing additional commercial dimensions to Group portfolio analysis, providing executives with new strategic insights.
- Streamlining regional reporting processes by transitioning to BI-driven reporting for greater efficiency and accuracy.
- Collaborate with the Group Finance Systems team to enhance reporting capabilities within the Global ERP and forecasting systems (NetSuite and Adaptive Insights), to further enhance group analytical capability.
More specifically, this role will focus on the following key activities:
Business Intelligence Report and Data Warehouse Development (80%):
- Assess and propose optimized workflows within the team, identifying opportunities for BI tools to streamline processes and enhance analytical capabilities.
- Design and implement data models and dashboards to support Group Reporting, ensuring efficient and insightful reporting and analysis.
- Develop and maintain documentation for BI solutions and reporting frameworks.
- Educate the team for further uplift the analytical capabilities within the Group Finance team
- Enabling self-service analytics for agencies and fostering a data-driven culture within the organisation, manage and respond to queries from stakeholders regarding reporting amendments or issues.
- Develop dashboards support following key Group and agencies level analysis, including but not limited to:
- Pipeline/Revenue Analysis, segmented by client/agency/specialism/region.
- Headcount Analysis
- P&L and variance Analysis
- Working capital and cash flow management analysis
- Group Portfolio analysis (e.g. BCG analysis)
- Other KPI analysis to drive business performance
To unlock other analytical capability (20%):
- Partner with the Finance Systems team to enhance NetSuite and Adaptive Insights, unlocking further analytical capabilities.
- Contribute to the client profitability system project and integrate HubSpot data to enable advanced commercial analysis.
Specific projects and deliverables in 2025:
- Develop and roll out internal-use dashboards to streamline internal financial analysis.
- Launch dashboards to support monthly and quarterly business reviews.
- Introduce additional KPI analyses to enhance reporting depth and strategic insights
About You

What you'll bring:
- Substantial experience as a BI Analyst or Data Analyst, experience in BI and reporting development, particularly with Power BI and data modelling
- Strong analytical skills, with commercial acumen.
- Able to thrive in ambiguity with multiple systems and competing priorities
- Proactive and self-driven, with the ability to work independently
- Good communicator, with strong collaboration and relationship-building skills, and ability to communicate with both system team and business team.
- Problem-solving mindset, with a passion for identifying challenges and delivering effective solutions.
- Driven by progress and improvement, demonstrating curiosity, resilience, and self-motivation to enhance financial insights and business performance.
- Fluent English language skills.
- Finance background advantage, not a must
- Experience using NetSuite an advantage.
- Experience using Planning, Budgeting and Forecasting systems an advantage.
- Knowledge of the Media or Digital sectors an advantage, but not a requirement.
