Senior Consultant Analyst
As a young business with a great track record of growth, M+C Saatchi Fluency is looking to truly launch and scale its presence in the US.
We’re looking for a Senior Consultant Analyst to take ownership of client delivery, and working closely with leadership to support our growth as it establishes and develops the Fluency US location and offer and develops a local team and a client base.
The role will be based in either New York or Ohio, but we expect significant collaboration with our other US and Global offices. This role will report into the US SVP Fluency.
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are expanding our footprint in the US. This is an incredible opportunity for a standout candidate who wants to play a leading role in ensuring first class delivery for our clients, and helping to win new business. This role is central to the day-to-day running of projects, and will see increasing collaboration with multi-disciplined teams across the wider M+C Saatchi Group. Working with our data science team and consulting colleagues, the role centres on creating and delivering multi-method data-driven insight strategies that lean into a diverse range of sources (e.g., search, social, news, forums, blogs, syndicated panels, custom research, etc.), understanding the right data inputs for the problem across what audiences see, say, think, feel, and do. The role is for a superb storyteller, comfortable developing data analysis into powerful insights that clients can action and will help them to win.
In addition to the above, the role comes with responsibilities to:
- Deliver against Fluency’s core proposition of helping client decision-makers deliver stronger outcomes, by connecting deeper insight and foresight to smarter actions - unlocking true commercial advantage at speed and scale through the fluent connection of diverse datasets with cutting-edge technology.
• Lead client relationships, showing energy, passion, care, and great skill. Build relationships and listen for client buying signals in this key client interfacing role.
• Develop & Grow the business: Impress our incredible client base with impeccable work, and seek opportunities to expand those relationships commercially.
• Inspire and show leadership to consultants and analysts, contributing to their development and working closely to help nurture more junior talent – and ensure consistently high levels projects delivery.
• Contribute to the development of Fluency’s offer, including its innovative products. Bring great experience and a zeal for cutting edge insight techniques.
ABOUT YOU
To unlock this opportunity, you'll demonstrate:
- Excellent practitioner: You will quickly understand the Fluency offer - and can put it to practice for clients. You can demonstrate your experience of selling and delivering a range of Fluency's core insight services (e.g., segmentation, audience insight, measurement and effectiveness) . Advocating high quality of project delivery across the team through inspiration, education and the processes and brilliant basics of client servicing.
• Agile Insight professional: You think laterally and creatively about problems, and you are comfortable with the selection, recommendation, and application of different data inputs and methods to solve client challenges in more inventive ways.
• A strategic marketing mindset: You have intellectual rigor, and can command the respect of senior clients, with good understanding of the marketing discipline and industry, and a healthy respect for the value different disciplines bring. You easily engage clients in the bigger conversation about growth.
• Client Leader: You are comfortable with oversight of key client relationships across all project touchpoints and work well under pressure. You are comfortable owning the commercials for projects, with proactive resource management. • Project Management: You enjoy managing a project from start to finish – managing client expectations, working with internal teams to meet deadlines, overseeing junior consultants, working with data science stakeholders, etc.
• Communication skills: First class communication skills in both written and spoken form, with effective outcomes, you'll be able to make advanced data and insight accessible to all.
• Deep curiosity: You aren't shy about dissecting briefs and opportunities to challenge how things could be done differently. Your curiosity is infectious and helps promote a sense of learning and desire to keep improving what we do.

You love to get under the skin of a client problem and communicates clearly how we can partner to solve, driven to truly connect with clients and understand how to leverage the full offer at Fluency.
• Natural networker: You enjoy and are excellent at networking internally and externally and are energized by building relationships and fostering them for business growth.
What you bring (skills and experience)
This role is a fantastic opportunity to be part of an ambitious and fast-growing business, where there is endless opportunity. We’re looking for someone with a stellar mix of relevant experience and skills. Ideally, you'll have the following experiences and strengths:
- Background: significant experience of working in a marketing and communications data environment, and experience of the power and application of diverse data sources.
• Knowledge & Experience: 10 years + experience working with diverse data sources, tools, and methods, the generation of consumer and business strategic insight and foresight, and similar understanding of downstream effectiveness and ROI, alongside the ability to deliver outstanding quality of work - with proven cases to demonstrate this. A broader and intuitive understanding of the marketing services ecosystem, to enable collaboration with other marketing services.
• New business: A proven track record of winning and developing new and existing client work and an extensive network of warm client relationships
• Thinking: Ability to understand diverse brand & marketing challenges from strategic, commercial and
creative perspectives, and calm under pressure and able to solve problems.
• Organisation: a self-starter able to lead, communicate clearly with team members across borders and be accountable for end-to-end delivery of projects, and comfortable managing relationships with multiple clients simultaneously.
• Passion: A natural passion for brands, businesses, and consumer behavior.
• Curiosity: The ability to think laterally and innovatively about the best routes to powerful insights (beyond the obvious) and inspiring others to do the same
• Creativity: Experience with architecting the appropriate data/technology solution to solve a client’s challenge or
respond to a brief, and a fantastic storyteller.
• Collaboration: A proven team player, driven by delivering results through collaboration rather than alone – and helping get the best out of people.
• Communication: Excellent communication, presentation and influencing skills

• Education: Degree and further education in relevant field
• IT: Proficient in Microsoft Suite, PowerPoint, Excel. Dashboarding and other coding skills nice to have.
