Senior Account Executive
We are currently looking for a Senior Account Executive to join one of the group’s specialist divisions to work on range of social change communications projects. M+C Saatchi World Services partners with governments, civil society, foundations, academia, and the private sector, we work on the critical issues of our time, including national security, social justice and conflict prevention. We provide a fully integrated, end to end service, combining multi-discipline communications teams with subject matter experts, across the world. Our work is domestic and global, often affecting the most vulnerable in society, with international activity orientated towards developing countries, and fragile, conflict affected states.
We are particularly interested in candidates with a working knowledge of, or a Degree in International Relations, Political Science, other related humanities, or social science. Languages are a big plus for us so if you're obsessed with understanding different cultures, with human psychology & behavioural change and never put down your phone/books when it comes to staying up to date on geopolitics please submit your CV.

This role is based out of our New York office (based in Manhattan) and requires 3x days in the office minimum.
Job Responsibilities:
The Work
- Support all aspects of our existing work, and any other contracts that become active over the course of employment, to ensure project delivery at the highest quality possible, on time and within budget.
- Take active role in how the work is presented and development of presentations.
- Help to inspire and shape the work and ensuring it is always on brief, and feel confident in having healthy and constructive debate with other team members.
- Presenting to clients in a way that is clear and articulate and be able to have debates and discussions about the work in a way that is constructive and intelligent.
- Discussing and filtering client feedback before debriefing the teams, pushing back where you feel it is right to and in a way that is clear and constructive.
- Understanding estimates and ensuring they are in line with expectations, managing client approvals and ensuring we invoice correctly and conduct reconciliations following completion of a job.
- Acting as the master of all production – a totally ‘safe pair of hands’ who can be left to oversee production with minor oversight of your seniors, including managing timings, budgets, quality control of delivery, spotting out of scope projects or potential new, more productive ways of working.
Relationships
- Establishing strong relationships with your clients. You should demonstrate your knowledge of the region and the sector, ensuring that you are trusted implicitly to have their interests at heart.
- Forge strong relationships with your strategy and creative teams by working hand-in-glove with with them, representing their views to the client and through demonstrating your knowledge of the issues, geographies, and target audiences.
Strategy
- Understanding the broader strategy on the business that you work on and taking an active role in shaping the individual project briefs with your strategist.
- Utilising knowledge of research insights, previous campaign evaluation and the impact that has on the live projects and be able to talk confidently and clearly about strategic issues and considerations with your clients and team.
- Partner with your strategist and account director to help set the strategic direction on the projects and ensure that all work is on brief.
The Agency and Business Impact
- Taking the more junior members of the department under your wing, particularly those on your team, helping them to get to grips with their role, to become part of the agency culture and, where relevant, inducting them on your business.
- Contributing to cross-agency groups and initiatives and forging inter-departmental relationships to encourage sharing and learning.
- Escalating day-to-days issues to your Account Director as necessary, devising ways to resolve them.
- Act as the key point of contact for the cross-agency group for any questions regarding the production or delivery of a project – you should be the first person they pick up the phone to.
- Managing up, as well as down, actively developing the more junior members of the team and ensuring the more senior members of your team can relax, knowing you have the day-to-day management of the account or project covered.
ABOUT YOU
What you bring:
- 3-6 years’ experience in a commercial communications capacity or in a similar working environment.
- A practical understanding of business operations.
- Excellent communication skills to enable engagement with senior stakeholders and to understand client requirements
- Proficiency in all components of Microsoft Office (Outlook, word-processing, power point and spreadsheets).
- Forward leaning attitude in support of team and for involvement in high-profile projects.
- Highly experienced in managing multiple work streams in high-pressured environment ensuring effective prioritization and timely delivery.

- Fluency in written and spoken English.
- Proficiency in written Spanish (desirable).
- Must be able to legally work in the US and travel internationally.

What we offer:
M+C Saatchi World Services offers a competitive benefits package including: 25 vacation days, 401k match, annual pay reviews, flexible working, and WFH opportunities. Salary is dependent on experience but ranges from: $80,000 - $100,000. All candidates must have the ability to work in the US; we are unable to sponsor any work visas for this role.
