Senior Strategy Director
M+C Saatchi is building the agency model of the future. At the heart of this transformation is CEP — our global engine that unites Consulting, Experience, and Performance into one culturally powered growth platform.
We are seeking a Strategy Director to work in our Consulting space with deep FMCG expertise and a proven track record in driving innovation across consumer brands.
As a Strategy Director, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our vision in a key growth market. You will work closely with the Managing Director of North America to lead our Consulting division across the region, building an integrated offer that connects brand, business, and culture.
This role is for an entrepreneurial leader who thrives on transformation, has strong FMCG credentials, and excels in Innovation Strategy — from concept to execution.
ABOUT THE ROLE
The role sits within our US team, with a focus on FMCG Brand Strategy & Innovation, spanning category growth, portfolio strategy, and new product development. You will lead strategic projects for major FMCG clients, driving innovation pipelines and go-to-market strategies for new launches.
You will be an active and engaged leader within either our New York, NY or Dayton, Ohio office, responsible for leading projects from brief through to successful delivery with support from a project team.
You should have a passion for growing existing and new client relationships, while also able to roll your sleeves up and deliver. There are also opportunities for line management of more junior team members.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for generating 5x annual salary in net revenue from new and existing accounts.
Cultivate relationships with new clients – networking to identify new opportunities, develop and take client briefs, lead, and deliver high-quality proposals and pitches.
Identify opportunities for new projects and added revenue from existing clients and convert these into project work.
Lead projects from start to finish, putting strategic thinking at the heart of the project, ensuring quality, rigor and creativity of thinking and clarity of storytelling.
Manage the profitability of large projects, maximizing revenue or decreasing costs where appropriate, in line with our entrepreneurial spirit (tracking project workload and resources)
Quality control – maintaining the highest standards of output, in written, visual, and verbal communications with the client, workshop environments and broader IP.
Proactively help clients translate brand strategy into action through internal engagement workstreams.
Represent total capabilities of CEP to the market. More specifically, this means being able to engage clients in all aspects of CEP’s capabilities from smart data solutions, upstream strategic thinking, world class design and digital/technology services.
