The Opportunity

M+C Saatchi New Zealand is looking for a Mid-Level Designer to join our team and help deliver exceptional creative work across digital, social, motion and integrated channels.

This is a permanent role based in New Zealand, working within a collaborative, fast-paced creative environment. You’ll be a strong craft designer who’s confident across the Adobe Creative Suite and genuinely excited by the evolving role of AI-assisted design tools (including MidJourney) as part of modern creative practice.

You’ll work closely with creatives, strategists and producers to bring ideas to life – from concept through to execution – while continuing to grow your craft, confidence and creative voice.

A Snapshot Of What You'll Do

Creative execution

• Design and produce high-quality work across digital, social, motion and integrated campaigns

• Execute creative ideas across formats including digital OOH, banners, social assets, motion and interactive content

• Support the development and maintenance of templates, guidelines and best-practice workflows

AI & emerging tools

• Confidently use AI design tools (including MidJourney and similar platforms) to explore concepts, generate ideas and enhance creative output

• Stay curious about emerging technologies and contribute ideas on how AI can support better, faster and more imaginative work

Collaboration & culture

• Participate in creative reviews, team sessions and critiques

• Work collaboratively with other designers, writers, producers and partners

• Bring a positive, solutions-focused attitude to team environments

Craft growth

• Continue to build your portfolio across a variety of clients and channels

• Seek feedback and look for opportunities to refine your skills and creative thinking

Your Ideal Experience

• 2-3+ years of experience in design roles within an agency or creative studio

• Strong proficiency across Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects)

• Experience designing for digital platforms including social, banners, motion and digital OOH

• Working knowledge of digital design principles, typography and layout

• Hands-on experience with AI design tools (e.g. MidJourney), with a genuine interest in how they enhance creative workflows

• Ability to manage multiple tasks, formats and deadlines without losing attention to detail

• Clear communication skills and confidence presenting ideas within a team

• A collaborative mindset and openness to learning, experimentation and feedback
