Senior Analyst (Europe)
We are looking for an Analyst specialising in politics, media landscapes, and information environments across the Europe region to play a key role in producing the insight that underpins our strategic communications work. As a Senior Analyst, you will monitor political dynamics, track evolving narratives, and analyse social, cultural, and informational trends.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
We are currently looking for a Senior Analyst to join one of the groups specialist divisions. This role sits within M&C Saatchi World Services of M&C Saatchi Group. We provide a fully integrated, end-to-end service, combining multi-discipline communications teams with subject matter experts, across the world. Our work is domestic and global, often affecting the most vulnerable in society, with international activity orientated towards developing countries, and fragile, conflict affected states.
We have almost 250 colleagues globally based in the UK, US, Singapore, Australia, and the United Arab Emirates working with clients across all corners of the world. We are deeply proud of our trusted, collaborative, and diverse culture. We also recognise our need to continuously grow and evolve.
Key responsibilities are to:
Monitoring and analysing the politics, media, and information environments of Eastern Europe, acting as an in-house source on that region’s politics, culture and information space. This includes utilising media monitoring and social listening tools to inform reporting.
Producing timely, relevant analyses, briefings and strategic recommendations verbally and in writing for many levels of the agency.
Providing insight to support the development of communications strategies and responding to ad hoc research requests.
Developing an understanding of regional strategy and project objectives, informing and guiding them.
Providing support to other project/regional/thematic-assigned analysts, as required.
Conducting own desk-based research.
ABOUT YOU
What you bring (knowledge, expertise, experience, and skills):
Degree in International Relations, War Studies, Russian and Eastern European Studies, or a related subject with a regional/geopolitical focus.
Interest in or previous experience working on Eastern Europe.
Excellent analytical skills; in particular, familiarity with qualitative and quantitative social science data.
Excellent writing and good presentation skills.
Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite of tools.
Preferably you will also have:
