Growth Bid Writer
We are currently looking for a Growth Bid Writer to join the new business team in one of the groups specialist divisions. This role sits within M&C Saatchi World Services of M&C Saatchi Group. World Services is a specialist division of M&C Saatchi Group. Partnering with governments, civil society, foundations, academia, and the private sector, we work on the critical issues of our time, including national security, social justice and conflict prevention.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
As a Growth Bid Writer, you will lead the development of compelling, compliant, and market‑specific proposals, ranging from expressions of interest to full commercial tender submissions, ensuring they effectively meet and exceed client requirements. This includes analysing tender documentation, translating complex delivery approaches into clear and persuasive copy, and collaborating with internal experts and market leads across global offices.
What you'll do:
Focus on bid procurement (writing) for UK government clients and/or EU or European country clients.
Writing and editorial oversight on commercial tender submissions, as well as developing proposals for expressions of interest.
Analysing and assessing commercial tender requirements and developing copy that successfully scores maximum points available on those requirements.
Developing new business proposals that are market specific and compliant as well as compelling.
Attending market engagement events to engage on potential tender requirements.
Liaising and engaging market-based business leads to develop persuasive reports and presentations for generating business opportunities.
Engaging with in-house experts to translate oft-complex delivery ideas and mechanisms into highly readable and understandable content.
ABOUT YOU
The successful candidate will bring bid writing experience, producing clear, persuasive, and compliant proposals for public‑sector or international clients. They will be an exceptional written communicator with strong attention to detail, able to translate complex ideas into accessible content while managing multiple deadlines in a fast‑paced environment. Fluent in English with excellent proofreading skills, they will work effectively both independently and collaboratively, with additional European languages, EMEA bid‑winning experience, or knowledge of behaviour‑change communications considered strong advantages.
You’ll bring:
Proven professional experience of bid writing, with exposure to international environments and non-commercial clients.
Demonstrable skills in proposal writing, sub-editing and effective communicating through the written word.
Fluent in written and spoken English with excellent proof-reading skills.
Strong attention to detail.
Evidence of planning and seeing written work through to the end.
Able to work both independently and collaboratively in groups.
Ability to work in a high paced, results-oriented environment.
Bonus points if you have:
Record of winning on written tender bids within the EMEA market.
An understanding of the role of communications in behaviour change.
Ability to triage and manage a number of concurrent bids being prepared.
Fluent in an additional European language.
