THE ROLE
M&C Saatchi World Services is seeking a highly analytical and user-focused UX Analyst to support the optimization of digital experiences, audience engagement, and user journeys across a diverse portfolio of federal programs. Working at the intersection of user experience, stakeholder engagement, digital strategy, and analytics, you will evaluate how audiences interact with websites, applications, and digital platforms to identify opportunities that improve usability, accessibility, satisfaction, and engagement outcomes. Through user research, behavioral analysis, usability assessments, and performance measurement, you will translate complex user interactions into actionable recommendations that shape user-centered solutions, support organizational effectiveness, and help achieve mission objectives.
The ideal candidate combines strong analytical capabilities with a deep understanding of user behavior and engagement principles and is comfortable collaborating across multidisciplinary teams to drive continuous improvement in digital experiences while advocating for user-centered solutions that enhance both audience experience and organizational effectiveness.
This is a hybrid role; however, the ideal candidate will live in the greater NYC area or the District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia (DMV) region.
Key Responsibilities
• Evaluate user experience, engagement patterns, and audience behaviors across websites, applications, and digital engagement platforms.
• Analyze user journeys, interaction flows, navigation pathways, and behavioral trends to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Identify usability issues, friction points, content gaps, accessibility challenges, and engagement barriers that impact user satisfaction and task completion.
• Conduct qualitative and quantitative research to understand audience needs, behaviors, motivations, and digital engagement patterns.
• Support usability testing initiatives, user interviews, surveys, and engagement assessments while synthesizing findings into actionable recommendations.
• Develop reports, dashboards, journey maps, briefing materials, and UX analysis products that communicate findings clearly and effectively.
• Collaborate with UX, content, communications, stakeholder engagement, analytics, and technical teams to support platform improvements and optimization initiatives.
• Provide recommendations related to navigation, content structure, information architecture, engagement strategies, and user experience enhancements.
• Track UX and engagement metrics over time to evaluate the effectiveness of improvements and support continuous optimization efforts.
• Support accessibility reviews and contribute to efforts that improve usability and compliance across digital platforms.
• Maintain documentation, research findings, methodologies, and reporting standards that support consistency and governance.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of UX research practices, engagement analysis methodologies, and user-centered design processes.
Key Attributes
• Experience conducting UX analysis, user research, engagement analysis, digital experience evaluation, or behavioral research activities.
• Strong understanding of user-centered design principles, audience behavior, engagement measurement, and digital experience optimization.
• Experience evaluating websites, applications, digital services, or online engagement platforms.
• Experience leveraging AI-assisted development, UX research, accessibility, and digital experience optimization tools to improve platform performance and user outcomes.
• Curiosity in technology landscape and how AI is changing communications.
• Ability to analyze user behavior data and translate findings into actionable recommendations that improve user experience and engagement outcomes.
• Experience supporting usability testing, user interviews, surveys, journey mapping, or audience research initiatives.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify patterns, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
• Experience developing reports, dashboards, UX assessments, research summaries, or stakeholder-facing recommendations.
• Strong collaboration skills and experience working across UX, communications, content, analytics, stakeholder engagement, and technical teams.
• Attention to detail and commitment to methodological rigor, documentation quality, and user-centered thinking.
• Experience supporting federal government, public affairs, digital communications, stakeholder engagement, or mission-driven programs is preferred.
• Familiarity with accessibility standards, Section 508 compliance, UX research tools, analytics platforms, or digital measurement technologies is preferred.
• Location: Hybrid, able to commute regularly to Washington DC or New York office spaces.
• Language Requirements: Fluent written and spoken English required.
• Educational Requirements: BA/BS in Human-Computer Interaction, User Experience Design, Psychology, Behavioral Science, Communications, Digital Strategy, Information Architecture, or a related field preferred.
Eligibility Requirements
• U.S. Citizenship: Must be a United States Citizen (required by government contract).
• Clearance Eligibility: Must be able and willing to obtain a U.S. Government Secret or Top Secret security clearance immediately upon employment.
• Background Screening: Must be willing to submit to a rigorous federal background investigation, which includes an in-depth review of personal finances, criminal history, employment history, and drug use. The salary range provided reflects the anticipated compensation for this role across our Washington, DC and New York locations.
