THE ROLE
M&C Saatchi World Services is seeking a highly experienced and strategically minded Associate Analysis Director to lead stakeholder intelligence, behavioral analysis, and engagement insight efforts across a diverse portfolio of federal programs. As a senior analytical leader, you will oversee the delivery of high-quality research, intelligence, and analytical outputs that inform communications strategies, stakeholder engagement initiatives, and organizational decision-making. You will guide analytical methodologies, manage and develop analytical teams, and translate complex qualitative and quantitative findings into actionable recommendations that strengthen stakeholder relationships and drive effective engagement outcomes.
Working closely with communications, stakeholder engagement, analytics, UX, research, and leadership teams, you will identify behavioral trends, stakeholder needs, sentiment drivers, and emerging risks that influence engagement outcomes across complex stakeholder environments.
The ideal candidate combines deep expertise in stakeholder research, behavioral analysis, and strategic communications with the ability to translate complex qualitative and quantitative findings into actionable recommendations. You will have proven experience analyzing social media using industry-standard social listening tools and managing teams of analysts using those tools. You will also be comfortable advising senior leaders, guiding analytical approaches, presenting findings to stakeholders, and helping organizations make informed decisions based on stakeholder intelligence.
This is a hybrid role; however, the ideal candidate will live in the District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia (DMV) region.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead stakeholder intelligence and behavioral analysis efforts that support communications, outreach, engagement, and organizational objectives.
• Analyze stakeholder attitudes, perceptions, behaviors, engagement patterns, and sentiment drivers across diverse audience groups and stakeholder communities.
• Manage an analytical team of personnel using social listening tools and techniques, to include providing training and upskilling of more junior members.
• Optimize and innovate existing and new social listening tools, both proprietary and COTS, to produce higher quality or otherwise more efficient analysis and reporting.
• Develop stakeholder segmentation frameworks, audience profiles, behavioral personas, and engagement models that support strategic planning efforts.
• Conduct qualitative and quantitative research to identify stakeholder needs, emerging concerns, opportunities, risks, and engagement barriers.
• Produce high-quality analytical reports, executive briefings, dashboards, stakeholder intelligence products, and strategic recommendations for leadership and program teams.
• Provide editorial oversight of complex reports that will involve inputs from multiple internal and external stakeholders, providing consistency in reporting style, cogent analysis, and quality assurance of the outputs.
• Interpret stakeholder sentiment, behavioral signals, feedback, and engagement data to identify meaningful trends and actionable insights.
• Provide strategic guidance on engagement tactics, audience targeting, messaging approaches, and stakeholder relationship management.
• Support stakeholder journey mapping, audience analysis, and engagement measurement initiatives.
• Incorporate the use of AI, and LLMs especially, in providing summaries of audience opinions at scale, determining underlying narratives across a broad spectrum of contents, assisting identification of potential audiences as media targets, etc.
• Collaborate with communications, stakeholder engagement, policy, UX, analytics, and research teams to ensure insights inform planning, program execution, and decision-making.
• Oversee the development and refinement of stakeholder intelligence methodologies, reporting frameworks, taxonomies, and measurement approaches.
• Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams through reports, briefings, workshops, and presentations.
• Support the continuous improvement of stakeholder intelligence capabilities, research methodologies, and analytical best practices.
• Anticipate customer interest in novel reporting approaches and methodologies, to include concepts such as automation and live dashboards, and innovate solutions accordingly.
Key Attributes
• Experience leading stakeholder analysis, audience intelligence, behavioral research, public affairs analytics, stakeholder engagement assessment, or related analytical initiatives.
• Strong expertise in stakeholder segmentation, behavioral analysis, sentiment evaluation, audience research, and engagement measurement.
• Demonstrated ability to synthesize complex qualitative and quantitative findings into clear, strategic recommendations.
• Experience of designing and leading research or analytical projects with frequent reporting requirements, and a demonstrated ability to work under rapid deadlines.
• Experience utilizing AI-assisted research, media monitoring, social listening, and audience intelligence tools to support analysis and strategic recommendations.
• Experience in formally line managing a team producing research and analytical outputs, with demonstrated ability to manage workflow and capacity.
• Curiosity in technology landscape and how AI is changing communications.
• Experience producing executive-level reports, intelligence products, dashboards, briefings, and stakeholder insights.
• Strong analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify patterns, risks, opportunities, and strategic implications.
• Excellent writing, editing, presentation, and communication abilities, with demonstrated ability to produce client or senior stakeholder-facing reports.
• Experience advising leadership and supporting strategic decision-making through evidence-based analysis.
• Strong understanding of stakeholder engagement frameworks, audience behavior, perception analysis, and communications effectiveness measurement. ~
• Experience collaborating across communications, stakeholder engagement, analytics, UX, research, policy, and program management functions.
• Ability to manage multiple analytical priorities and reporting cycles simultaneously while maintaining high standards of accuracy and rigor.
• Experience supporting federal government, public affairs, strategic communications, stakeholder engagement, or mission-driven programs is preferred.
• Familiarity with sentiment analysis platforms, social listening tools, stakeholder intelligence systems, behavioral science methodologies, or engagement analytics is preferred.
• Location: Hybrid, able to commute regularly to Washington DC office.
• Language Requirements: Fluent written and spoken English required.
• Educational Requirements: BA/BS in Communications, Public Affairs, Behavioral Science, Sociology, Public Policy, Marketing, International Relations, Political Science, Analytics, Research, or a related field preferred.
Eligibility Requirements:
• U.S. Citizenship: Must be a United States Citizen (required by government contract).
• Clearance Eligibility: Must be able and willing to obtain a U.S. Government Secret or Top Secret security clearance immediately upon employment.
• Background Screening: Must be willing to submit to a rigorous federal background investigation, which includes an in-depth review of personal finances, criminal history, employment history, and drug use.

The salary range provided reflects the anticipated compensation for this role across our Washington, DC and New York locations. Actual starting salary will be determined based on geographic location, relevant experience, skills, and other job-related factors.
