M&C Saatchi World Services US is seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Assistant Account Executive to support the delivery of strategic communications and social impact campaigns.
THE ROLE
M&C Saatchi World Services is seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Assistant Account Executive to support the delivery of strategic communications and social impact campaigns across a diverse portfolio of clients and programs.
This role provides an opportunity to develop foundational account management, project coordination, and communications skills while working alongside experienced account, strategy, creative, and production teams. You will contribute to campaign delivery, support day-to-day project activities, and gain exposure to all stages of the communications lifecycle.
The successful candidate will be curious, proactive, and eager to learn, with a strong interest in communications, public affairs, international affairs, or social impact work. You will play an important role in supporting project execution, maintaining high standards of quality and organization, and helping teams deliver meaningful work for clients and audiences around the world.
This is a hybrid role; however, the ideal candidate will live in the District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia (DMV) region.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the delivery of communications campaigns and client projects across a range of workstreams and initiatives.
Assist with project coordination, meeting preparation, scheduling, documentation, and day-to-day account management activities.
Contribute to the development of presentations, research materials, reports, and campaign deliverables.
Support campaign planning and execution by gathering information, organizing resources, and helping manage project workflows.
Assist with audience research, competitive analysis, industry monitoring, and insight gathering to inform strategic communications activities.
Help prepare status reports, meeting notes, contact reports, and other project documentation.
Support internal and external meetings by coordinating logistics, materials, and follow-up actions.
Contribute ideas, inspiration, and creative thinking that support campaign development and project delivery.
Collaborate with account, strategy, creative, and production teams to ensure projects remain organized and on track.
Build positive working relationships with colleagues, clients, and stakeholders while supporting a collaborative team environment.
Assist with agency initiatives, events, knowledge-sharing activities, and cross-functional projects.
Maintain high standards of quality, accuracy, and attention to detail across all assigned work.
Take ownership of administrative and operational tasks that contribute to successful project delivery and client service.
Key Attributes:
Experience through internships, academic projects, volunteer work, or professional roles in communications, marketing, public affairs, account management, or a related field.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Experience in and/or curiosity for leveraging AI-enabled tools and emerging technologies to improve project delivery and ways of working.
Curiosity in technology landscape and how AI is changing communications.
Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Interest in strategic communications, social impact campaigns, public affairs, international affairs, or geopolitics.
Curiosity and willingness to learn new skills, processes, and communications disciplines.
Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team environment.
Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach to problem-solving.
Interest in research, audience insights, campaign strategy, and communications trends.

Practical understanding of business operations and project coordination principles.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
Undergraduate degree in Communications, Marketing, International Relations, Politics, History, or a related field preferred.
Ability to build relationships, take initiative, and contribute positively to team culture.
Must be a U.S. citizen and hold (or be able and willing to obtain) a U.S. Government Public Trust Background Check or Secret Clearance.
Eligibility Requirements:
Location: Hybrid, able to commute regularly to the Washington DC office space.
Language Requirements: Fluent written and spoken English required.
Educational Requirements: BA/BS in Public Relations, Communications, Public Affairs, Marketing or a related field.
U.S. Citizenship: Must be a United States Citizen (required by government contract).
Clearance Eligibility: Must be able and willing to obtain a U.S. Government Secret or Top Secret security clearance immediately upon employment.
Background Screening: Must be willing to submit to a rigorous federal background investigation, which includes an in-depth review of personal finances, criminal history, employment history, and drug use.
The salary range provided reflects the anticipated compensation for this role across our Washington, DC and New York locations. Actual starting salary will be determined based on geographic location, relevant experience, skills, and other job-related factors.
