The Role
M&C Saatchi Performance is seeking a highly motivated and talented Account Executive to join our Planning Team. As a Media Executive, you will play a critical role in developing and executing media strategies that drive client success. You will work closely with the Planning Manager, and clients to understand their objectives and deliver campaigns that exceed expectations.
As an Executive in the Planning team at M&C Saatchi Performance, you will hold a pivotal role in our client servicing team. Reporting directly to the Account Manager, your responsibilities lie in campaign planning and activation for our clients. You will assist the Manager in the end-to-end media planning process, with support from specialist teams such as Search and Social where required. This is a hybrid role based in London, offering you a unique opportunity to make a substantial impact on our agency's success in the digital marketing landscape.
The Clients
We work across a range of clients, including Travel and Tourism, Retail, Entertainment, Wellness, Ride-hailing. Campaigns are not limited to UK only and are activated across multiple markets globally.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with account managers and clients to understand campaign objectives and KPIs.
- Conduct research and analysis to identify target audiences, market trends, and competitor insights.
- Assist in developing comprehensive media plans and strategies to achieve client goals.
- Recommend media channels and tactics, including but not limited to display, paid search, social media, and programmatic advertising.
- Create and manage media budgets, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
- Collaborate with creative teams to ensure that ad creatives are aligned with media strategies.
- Execute and optimize media campaigns across various platforms.
- Monitor and analyze campaign performance, providing regular reports and insights to clients.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, tools, and technologies to continually improve campaign effectiveness.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with media vendors and partners.
- Provide exceptional client service by responding to client inquiries and addressing concerns in a timely manner.
- Ensure all campaigns comply with industry best practices and regulations.
Qualifications
- Relevant experience in media planning and a proven track record required.
- Digital platform certifications are considered a plus.
Experience
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in media planning and buying in digital media. Experience in an agency is beneficial but not essential.
- Experience of using media planning and advertising platforms such as Google Ads, Facebook Ads Manager, and Programmatic DSPs.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential. Comfortable using functions, pivot tables, and formulas within Excel.
- Experience working with clients and providing exceptional customer service. The candidate should be capable of responding to client inquiries, addressing concerns, and building strong client relationships.
- Experience in managing media budgets and tracking spends is required.
Skills
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret campaign data, analyse performance metrics, and make data-driven decisions to optimise media strategies.
- Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously is important in a fast-paced agency environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are crucial for presenting media plans, providing regular client updates, and collaborating effectively with team members and clients.
- Understanding of digital marketing market trends and various media channels.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain client relationships.
- Comfortable working in a highly collaborative and fast-paced environment with strong organizational skills across a business.
- Excellent communication, both written and verbal.
- A proactive and collaborative team player.
