Business Development Manager
As a Business Development Manager at M&C Saatchi Performance, you will hold a pivotal role in our EU-focused growth initiatives. Reporting directly to the Regional Director, your mission is to drive the expansion of our agency by developing a comprehensive business development strategy and outreach plan. Your goal is to generate new business leads, identify growth opportunities, and serve as the primary point of contact for early-stage conversations. Your role will be instrumental in converting prospects into qualified sales leads (SQLs) and contributing significantly to our new business revenue. This is a hybrid role based in London, offering you a unique opportunity to make a substantial impact on our agency's success in the digital marketing landscape.
What you'll do:
- Lead Generation: Identify and pursue new business opportunities through research, networking, and market analysis to deliver business revenue.
- Lead Qualification: Identify and qualify leads, ensuring alignment with our agency's capabilities and target market.
- Revenue Growth: Meet or exceed quarterly and annual revenue targets through effective lead conversion.
- Client Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers in potential client organizations, understanding their unique advertising needs.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with our creative, data, and marketing teams to ensure the successful execution of advertising campaigns.
- Sales Presentations: Prepare and contribute to persuasive sales presentations and proposals to potential clients
- Pipeline Management: Manage the sales pipeline, from lead generation to contract negotiation and closing, using sales software.
- Market Analysis: Stay informed about industry trends, market dynamics, and competitors to identify growth opportunities.
- CRM Management: Utilize CRM software [mention specific CRM tool] to maintain accurate records of client interactions and opportunities.
- Reporting: Provide regular reports and updates on sales activities, revenue, and market insights to Leadership team.
What you'll bring:
- Experience in business development or sales in the digital sales sector. Experience in an agency is beneficial but not essential
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and revenue goals.
- Deep understanding of digital marketing market trends and various media channels.
- Proficiency in tech solutions relevant to the market.
- Relevant experience and a proven track record of successful lead generation and conversion are usually required.
- Experience in CRM/sales software, such as Hubspot
- Digital platform certifications are considered a plus
- Demonstrates the ability to identify and seize opportunities in the market, constantly seeking ways to grow the business.
- Highly self-motivated and proactive, capable of taking initiative and working independently without constant supervision.
- Tenacious and determined in pursuing leads and opportunities, with a strong willingness to overcome obstacles and challenges.
- Possesses a resilient attitude, able to handle rejection or setbacks while maintaining a positive outlook.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain client relationships.
- Comfortable working in a highly collaborative and fast-paced environment with strong organizational skills across a business
- Exceptional interpersonal and negotiation skills.
- Excellent communication, both written and verbal.
- Strong presentation and public speaking skills.
- Motivated by setting and delivering on KPIs
