FP&A Manager
We are looking for a commercially minded FP&A Manager to strengthen the commercial finance capability of the business, leading reporting, forecasting, and performance analysis across departments and service offerings.
This role will play a key part in driving improvements in commercial reporting, forecasting, and profitability analysis. Working closely with the Commercial Director and department heads, you will provide robust financial insight to support decision-making and help enhance financial awareness across the business.
Reporting to the Commercial Director, this full-time role is based in London on a hybrid basis.
ABOUT THE ROLE
The main purpose of this role is:
To strengthen the commercial finance capability of the business by leading reporting, forecasting and performance analysis across departments and service offerings (e.g. Media, Insights, Production).
This role will drive improvements in commercial reporting, and profitability analysis and ensure that decisions are supported by robust financial insight and forward-looking analysis.
Working closely with the CD/CFO and department heads, the role will enhance financial awareness across the business and assist in transforming how commercial reporting is delivered.
The role will enhance the business's commercial acumen by helping shape a commercial finance culture and developing models and systems to support this initiative
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Forecasting & Reporting
Own and enhance monthly P&L reporting across the business delivery divisions.
Develop and maintain department-level reporting packs (Media, Insights, Production)
Develop and maintain financial models that link revenue, headcount, margin and cost assumptions to forward-looking forecasts and long-term plans.
Create dynamic dashboards that clearly show both historic trends and forward-looking information to support with decision-making.
Client, Project & Product/Service Profitability
Build structured reporting on profitability across clients, projects and services offered,
Track performance vs initial budgets and highlight risk areas.
Provide insight into margin by discipline and service line – building out to show regional and client nuances and differences.
Identify trends in cost of sales and operational efficiency.
KPI Reporting & Margin Optimisation
Design and implement structured KPI frameworks across departments, ensuring relevance to each specific department.
Develop and monitor metrics such as utilisation, recovery and revenue-per-head.
Analyse staff cost to revenue ratios and highlight future risk.
Analyse impact on pricing models on profitability.
Commercial & Strategic Support
Provide financial modelling to:
Support development of client rate cards and internal rate cards.
Resource expansion decisions
Assist with KPI framework development across financial, operational and people metrics
Develop structured revenue pipeline analysis, tracking conversion rates, phasing assumptions and forecast accuracy.
Systems & Process Improvement
Partner with Finance Systems and IT to enhance reporting capability in:
Enhance reporting capability across key tools and systems including: Netsuite, PowerBI, Hubspot, HRIS/Resource systems.
Drive automation of reporting where possible
Improve data integrity across systems
Develop dashboards and visual reporting outputs
Other
Contribute to building a commercially focused finance culture
Support on ad-hoc company and cross-finance team initiatives as required.
Support development of more junior finance team members where appropriate, with potential line management responsibilities in future.
ABOUT YOU
ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified (or equivalent)
3–5+ years’ experience in FP&A / commercial finance
Experience within a people-based / services / agency environment preferred
Strong understanding of revenue recognition and margin/profitability analysis.
Experience building forecasts and financial models
Advanced Excel modelling capability, with experience using Power BI or similar data visualisation tools.
Experience working with ERP and reporting systems (e.g. NetSuite, CRM, HRIS tools)
Ability to manipulate large data sets and translate them into meaningful insight
Confident communicator with experience presenting financial information to senior non-finance stakeholders
Commercially minded with strong business acumen
